GET THIS BABY ON STEAM

Post by P0stpwned » 23 Jan 2014, 05:53

I can't believe I never heard of this game until now! This game literally has everything I've ever looked for in an RPG. Non-instanced player-built housing/communities, open-world PVP with permadeath, actual 3D terraforming, MINIGAMES!!

Kind of reminds me of a failed game I really liked called Salem, but even better.

You guys need to get this thing on Steam ASAP. I will buy 100 copies if you do.

There is no perma-death in LiF but as you have noticed, the game has many features from UO and H&H, while salem is only an ugly copy of H&H.
There are plans to get this project to the steam but for now it is still in pre-alpha stage.
Be patient as the development proccess is going on steadily.

Oops not permadeath but death penalties. Even better. I hope this is not one of those games that ends up going nowhere. I hope the devs realize the importance of what they're doing. This would be the greatest game of all time.

I saw the game as I was going down the list at mmorpg.com (sorted by hype/rating). I was playing Rust and decided that what it really needed was to get rid of guns and have a much bigger map. So LiF was a great find.

Plus, like I mentioned, ever since I found Salem (never actually played HnH though) I've been looking for a similar game, but one with a development team that's not as lazy as SeaTribe.

Keep your eyes on this project!
Here do not give false promises, the work is concrete, many other developers, release alpha in a pitiful state, while LiF seems very advanced, I have a lot of trust in these guys, this game will soon receive the attention and his merits ;)
Sorry for my bad English

It's been 3 years now that i'm following this game, looking for news at least once a month, and now once a day. I found it because I was searching something similar to Wurm, or Dawntide (a failed sandbox project), thanks god they had funds, and they're going pretty good right now. I'll be happy to pay those 20 € or more to have a game like that :) go on Bobik, your team work is great, if you put that on Steam i think your hard work will be rewarded :D

STEAM would be like a gate of salvation for the devs financially :) and, while the game has a strong alignment system and harsh gaming world, noobs/lammers etc. would not destroy the experience, so only good can come out of this

The day I see LiF on steam will be a happy day indeed. this game is quickly taking my interest away from ESO and with that my money since odds are it asks for less and gives more.

There is only one thing I am afraid of.

This is what will happen the next day after the game will appear on Steam

Can't see the problem with the game becoming popular. It's what we all want in the end.

I tight knit community can be great if you're a part of it but I don't think an mmo can survive without the masses for long. Steam might bring people you dread but ultimately everyone's money is helpful to making a game successful whether they play to your liking or not. Everyone is a noob at some point but some will persevere and become useful members of the community. Steam would honestly just make purchasing this game easier compared to the current transaction format. The joy of steam is plenty will buy it from there and maybe drop out of the game after a week or two, which still gives the devs the money they need and thins out the noobs you dread. Who hasn't thrown their money away on steam with a game that didn't turn out how you hoped.

With the right advertising pitch i think this game could get nicely though the green-light phase of steam and become a huge success.

they could try with the greenlight, if a lot of peoples want it, i don't think servers or hard work for a couple weeks would be a problem for that team
