Graphics card still not detected

Post by Jaysin86 » 15 Oct 2014, 01:57

"Added some more workarounds to fix an issue when a laptop discrete video card was not used for rendering. Removed misleading
video adapter option from Video options. Do not forget to update your drivers! "

As with lots of people the game was detecting some random radeon card and not my high performance nvida card not my crappy intel onboard. Which resulted in frame rates that made the game unplayable,

Then the update came and I thought all was gonna change. Well one thing did change, now the game detects my crappy onboard, but still doesn't detect the nvidia card :(

In the nvidia panel Ive set LiF to use the nvidia card, but that hasn't changed anything. It still isn't using my graphics card for rendering. I still get 5-10 FPS when I can play any other game without a hiccup.

I've read that other people are now correctly seeing their nvidia car show up in the options. Anyone have any idea why mine inst?

In my nvidia setting I have the nvidia gpu set as default for the game (which I set since I first bought it) and it still doenst work. Here's what I found in the game log

As you can see it's still trying to use my onboard card and it's using virtualized memory storage and not the memory on my card..

The game has detected my graphics card since the last patch. But this didn't improve the performance at all. So there's no guarantee that it will eve if it does detect the right card :(

But I get ok.... fps, unless I'm looking at the forest. I'm running a Geforce GTX 690, which is still better than most of the new top end cards.

My card is now being recognized, but it appears to have the same issue with using virtualized memory, which really makes me think that's why my performance drop occurred after the October 3rd patch.

I'm currently looking for a way to fix this problem, but I'm turning up nothing.

Same here. Still 6 FPS when looking at the trees. I have to look at my feet when walking in the forest

Yes I get 8fps when looking at trees, doesn't matter what I have the settings set at. And nvidia card is forced GPU. I get close to 300fps when I look towards the ocean.

the patch did allow my nvidia card to show in the settings.

one thing i did that helped was to go into the nvidia control panel and add the .exe to the 3d settings .. "program settings" tab.

why or how it helped i have no clue, BUT, it did.

also i changed the trees to 0.00. this helped immensely.

Trust me I've done that. It doesn't matter what I do, I only get 8-10 fps. This sucks.
