So I'm trying smelting for the first time. I watches some tutorials ans collectes 70 ironore 3 hardwood billets brouht temp. to 1500. And now im Sitting over 15 minutes in front of this and the progress is minimal. Hitting air every 30 seconds, but most of the time no reaktion. Only 2 additional billets were consumed in this more than 15 minutes run. Ans Progress ist about 1/10th.

Is this for real? The tutorials were all one year old but it was way way faster in the videos? Pls help! (Server has rather fast settings - every other thins ist about done in no time)

u most be doing something wrong,
hop in on my server cause i think your missing kiln aswel
your better off makeing charcoal first

Actually you are right, I haven't build a kiln yet. Material for that is so far away ^^. Didn't know that it was nessesary for smelting. Well as I have time now I'll go for a walk and build it. Afert 1hour 15 minutes the smelting progress is at 50%.

its not required bhut charcoal makes it easyer and les intensive compared to useing billets

I the issue was wrong server settings. The frist of the several means more = faster, after that it i more = slower. Reading is always best.

Now I have normal smelting times.

Thanks for the help anyway. charcoal is so much nicer.
