After purchasing the game yesterday, I eventually gave up logging on to the listed servers and just had it 'create a world' so I could check it all out.

I put in about an hour figuring out how the game works and how to get around and interact with things.. and it was great.
Came back later in the day and put a couple of hours into skills and crafting... Again, Loved it. It worked/ran perfectly.

But when I tried to play again last night, it would not load at all.
I have changed Nothing, but every time I try to run it I get a fatal - closing error..

Something called a BEX problem in cm_yo_server.exe
Is this just a brief issue from the patch or is this something I need to find a fix for on my own?

The Fix

Go to \Steam\SteamApps\common\Life is Feudal Your Own.

Delete the folder (and contents) named daemon.

Open steam and go to library.

Right-click on Life is Feudal in game list on left.

Select Properties from the right-click menu.

On the window that opens, click the Local Files tab.

Click the Verify Integrity Of Game Cache button.

This part might take a while... but it will check for missing files then re-download the corrupted ones we deleted.

I switched to Static virtual memory settings and did a complete reinstall.. it fixed the problem.

Now I just need to find who's running servers on Blackbox to compare their Pings and see if that's where I want to go with.
