Mutex problem when trying connect to a server

I get this about every crash.. at first i thought it was a memory leak as my game is using up 97% of physical RAM goes from a few hundred megs ram to 2.7gig on crash.

Out of curiosity: what kind of video card do you use, and when you open the console in-game does it mention errors at all? Specifically errors pertaining to write permissions.
