The Order of the Knights Templar is an organized and dedicated guild for the Life is Feudal: MMO. Our main goal is to keep an active and engaged community of new and experienced players working together to further the goals of the Order. The Order of the Knights Templar are a military monastic order that is focused spreading the words and wisdom of God to the less fortunate persons of the world. All members of the Knights Templar must profess the Oath before God in order to join the Order. The Oath outlines some of the key principles of the Order: respect, loyalty, bravery, work ethic, and faith. We incorporate these values into everything that we do.

Land Organization & Terms

The Order - Run by the Grand Master. This includes all land, resources, and people controlled by the Order of the Knights Templar.

Commandery - Commanderies are administered by a Commander. In regards to land, a Commandery is a major fortification that is used to protect surrounding areas. Commanderies are large, military installations that serve both and offensive and defensive purpose. Commanderies act as a military hub for a region or area. Commanderies are tasked with protecting cities, towns, and villages surrounding them.

Templar City - Templar Cities are administered by a Turcopolier. In regards to land, a Templar City is any major population center of the Order. A Templar City is usually located adjacent to a Commandery. Templar Cities fall under the protection of the nearby Commandery. Templar Cities may be surrounded by walls or other fortifications if deemed necessary by the Castellan.

Templar Town - Templar Towns are administered by a Turcopolier or a Knight. In regards to land, a Templar Town is any population center of the Order that is located near a Commandery. A Templar Town is generally not allowed to have large stone walls or fortifications. Towns, while valuable to the Order, are not meant to act as professional military bastions against enemies.

Templar Village - Templar Villages are administered by a Knight. In regards to land, a Templar Village is a small population of the Order located on near a Commandery. A Templar Village is not allowed to have any stone walls or fortifications. Very rarely will a Templar Village have any walls or fortifications larger than a watch tower. Villages, while valuable to the Order, are not meant to act as professional military bastions against enemies.

The Oath before God
I shall defend the Templar Knights and the laws of the land.
I shall respect and defend the weak, the sick, and the needy.
I shall not retreat from adversity nor from challenge.
I shall perform scrupulously my civic duties.
I shall remain faithful to my pledged oath.
I shall be everywhere and always the champion of right, good, and tolerance against injustice.

Every Knights Templar must swear this oath before joining the Order.
