slinger skill gain is buged or 0,002 is normal with 40 skill ? my friend have like 7x more per hit with melee weapon. :/

Some things are strange.
Demolition improves by 0,1 when just hitting a tiny. But hitting a dummy with a melee weapon increases your skill by 0,005. So approximatly 200k hits just to reach 60 with a correct multiplier... (Assuming it will be less after.)
I mean ? Really ?

Somehow it feels like someone/thing is whispering "'c'mon bud' lul buy our p2fast system". Mh...

Cmon, boost slinger skill gain... Ir takes 10000-15000 sling shots to go from 30 to 60.... Just to gain acces to better bows... Not fair at all..

And archery skill gain. Increase it, it takes 4 seconds to shoot an arrow, while swinging an axe takes 1second... Still skill gain is same... Not fair at all.

You folks really need to get to increase your skill multiplier with a proper food.

With a 2.0-3.0 skill multiplier you can get about 0.01-0.014 xp per shot on a target or dummy.

If you manage to get to about 10+ tiles and get the message "Good Shot" or "Great Shot" or even "Excellent Shot" you will gain MORE experience per hit. You can nearly triple your xp gain per hit.

THEN if you use it during your combat power hour you can gain nearly .03-.04 per hit on a target or training dummy.

IF you use a person holding a shield or a lagged out ghost on a server border you can gain almost .08 per hit.

Just some tips.
Don't build what you can't defend- Rule number 1.

so if you use 4 ingredient regional food with 100 quality to get up to 3x skill rate and make about ~12 archery targets and put them close by so you can hit something from being far away enough to get the good shot bonus everytime AND give in to the P2W system for the powerhour you can gain xp almost as fast as any melee weapon at 1x multiplier with no PH? oh and ofcourse you cant macro for long because after 50 shots you have to replace the sling?

the only advantage is you can make your own sling and ammo for it without needing a carpenter to make a training weapon

regardless of multipliers the point is after level 30 sling goes up around 1/3-1/5th the rate of other comparable weapons/skills.

First you dont need regional food for 4 ingredient food.

Second... Ranged combat is one of the most powerful combat "types" in game. With a simple arbalest I can hit in the 70s at render range... YES that far. A group of 5 archers can devastate the same number of melee fighters when they have range.

The only thing archers fear, is close quarters fights, and cavalry.
