What class will you play?

Post by Jezbelle » 26 May 2014, 00:40

Post what class you are thinking of playing (or your theoretical combination of combat skills) and WHY. Ie. Militia, Calvary, Infantry, Berserker, Archer...

Personally, I have to go with Infantry, sword and shield (i really don't want to die!). Although militia looks fun.

I think I will be infantry (sword+shield) as well, or pikeman. This combination works best for me in warband.

Primarily I'll try to play some sort of combination between "Mounted Knight" & Crossbowman; mobility, armour and damage. What could possibly go wrong? ;)

Just don't kill my horsey! I won't be able to outrun the naked barbarians.

Nothing is wrong. Zero mobility and zero damage. You will be a perfect opponent. :D

Low agility leads to poor ranged damage.
Low strength leads to poor melee damage and gear weight.
Low constitution leads to poor health.
Low willpower leads to poor carry weight and stamina.

You just can't mix up two-three fighting styles and keep the effectiveness up.
Either you are an archer with high agility but poor armor and carry weight&strength, or you are a knight with medium armor and high lance damage and high health but poor stamina or you are a footman with high str but very slow and medium health.

I'll have to focus on the lance and horse then 8-)

I knew very little about the balancing system, so thank you for clearing that up for me.

Check out the skills calculator in the turtorials section. It has all skills-stats implemented. And so you can ballance your future character. Though I have no idea how much str does every set of armor require yet.

Who knows , probably a simple warrior with 2 hand sword, or maybe pikeman whatever works best.

Will definitely become a merchant, because as the Rules of Acquisition state:

"War is good for business"

and

"Peace is good for business"

Either that, or I'll become a master blacksmith - You can curry quite a bit of favour with Kings and the like if you can make them some good stuff.
The best techniques are passed on by the survivors.
