wear arrow quiver in the hip

Post by suffering001 » 02 Mar 2018, 20:41

Hello feudalist fellows

Wanted to know your opinion on archers/rangers being able to equip their arrows on the hip. Maybe at the cost of shooting speed or stack size.

It could even be with new quiver /arrows bag items
One for the back with more space and faster firing and one smaller for the hip with less space and slower shoting rate, due to were its located.

Being an archers lets you completely useless at close range due to the 2 back spots the bow and arrow takes.
Everyone and their mother can use a xbow due to only needing archer lvl 0 to use it and most weapons on every other combat tree takes only 1 spot in the back and 1 in the hip

Even the pavisade feels like crap as an archer, you have to unequip the arrows or bow, equip the pavisade, use it, and re-equip your wep or ammo.

Historically Archers did NOT wear their arrows on their back. The quiver was usually on their hip. Usually on the draw hand side.

Don't build what you can't defend- Rule number 1.

well, it was a good spot to actually check how many arrows you had, and wich tipe of arrow you wanted to shoot,

Not only should we be able to use arrows on hip, I don't see any reason for any penalty. Just an oversight needing fixing. :D

You could put some points down one of the melee paths. I hear the Gross Messer is an excellent side arm.
