I understand you don't get any in game items or skill boosts but I read about ascetic items. What happens if I got this pimp looking gear and I die? do I lose the gear and they get it? Or is it an option for crafting or changing? I understand the motto of the game but if I pay 5$ for some pimp looking suit of armor I want to be able to create a few sets of this armor.

I might be wrong - but to me it looks like you are looking for the word "cosmetic". Appologies if your intentions were in other directions

This is a good question, one I am wondering about myself.
I would gather that if you die (as with your other gear and items) they are left with your tombstone - which is loot-able.

If the finder/attacker/killer loot it they will suffer alignment points.

But other than that, I guess it should be no difference with premium stuff vs. normal in-game stuff. But that's just my personal opinion on the matter

AFAIK after purchasing cosmetic items/skins they will be bound to your character and you will not lose them upon death. Cosmetic items will just give a new look to whatever gear you are wearing or wielding.

AFAIK if someone looted your corpse the items would look normal to them and would not have the visual effect of your purchased skins.

If you would buy cosmetic for "wooden stick" and wear a wooden stick then it would look like you are holding flaming stick of destruction and your friend would see it also. If you give same stick to your friend and he equips then that stick would look normal for you and for him.
At least I understand it this way.

That is correct. You buy an item restyle, that disappears after you had unequipped that item (either by yourself or were forced to via knockout or death).

I would be weary of having too many of the restyled items. If I were to see someone in a full set of golden pimp armor I would try even harder to gank him(Definitely worth the alignment loss) and I might even call some of my friends to help because I know he has more money to spend and might have some better loot

That system is not fully implemented yet, but I think we will allow to switch how they look relatively easy.

That's not necessary true. If shop would only sell golden pimp armors then that's all he might have. Ganking someone will be lottery in all cases.

Well the shop would only sell non drop cosmetic items anyways. My thinking is just that they have invested money into the game they might have invested more into nice items. That brings up a good question actually.

Does anyone know if we will be allowed to sell in game items/coin for real life currency? I know it is not illegal, but some games do not allow such actions and will ban accounts if they find out.

One really cool thing they could do for monetization is sell the cosmetic style for crafters to create on armor/weapons etc., then what you see is what you get in terms of drops. The world wouldn't be flooded with the special items because they still require the same resources for whatever type of armor it is, just has the cosmetic style on it. But then again it may take away that special "premium" feel if anyone could get the special style armor or encourage the killing of the player wearing said armor so someone could obtain it themselves.

This has brought up the topic of what happens if some newer players come along and see someone (Me) In my glowing gold pimp armor and they think I'm rich, so they get their buddies to gank me and then it turns out to be some rusted iron armor? They'll have lost two guys and just got some low tier armor.

Is that something people will have to live with? As in educate yourself about what kind of armor there is? Or something else? I myself am lost on questions to ask about that.
