I'm sorry but...

Post by WarfaceAlex » 20 Sep 2014, 08:53

The wiki is lacking, there is almost no information on there that is helpful in any way to actual gameplay. Most if not all can be displaying in-game. The new players need to know how to properly flatten ground for fundations, how to get clay/ore, how to make their first tools(yes even that). Basically what I'm saying is that the official wiki is very bare bones right now.

Other than that I've finally built my first shack after some gritty determination and 5 hours of in-game time

Yeah the Wiki does need more players active and adding to it, I think that will happen more as people join in and take the time to post new info. I think you can sign up and help if you want! :D

There is set of basic tutorials made by developers to help new players learn the ropes and start their journey in Life is Feudal: http://lifeisfeudal.com/billing/tutorials.php

It also has video demonstration, very usefull.

Is it possible to add those tutorials to the frontpage of the wiki? I am currently out of computer so I can't do it myself.

The idea is to provide players with some centralised place to get some info "in their faces!" rather than having them to search through forums. New player experience is extremely important thing

seen the tutorials, but they dont really help much in the way of most stuff, like using the furnace for example.

Edit: forgot to thank you for listening to my ranting, so thanks :D

Edit2: I'm off to the wiki to edit some stuff in that I already know, hope that will help some of the newer players out. Most seem to ask how to get rock for some reason.

Sadly no, unless someone will take the initiative of contacting Curse wiki administration, which in this case is Game widow and have wiki content translated. There is already russian one created, which can be seen on the left panel. But that of course as I said was out of the initiative of one of the users.
