I bought this game today and already have a few fun hours up. But I need to ask a question
Sorry if I have misread they Steam page but am I correct in believing that this game will be single player as well as MMO after release?
Also, am I playing single now?

You are playing Singleplayer and Multiplayer, but not MMO. MMO will release soon. You can play single or with friends/strangers.

If by 'soon' you mean any time within the next 6-18 months, then yes, you are correct.
