Cannot connect to local server

Post by Raccoon » 10 Mar 2015, 18:25

So i recently bought this game and decided the best way for me to learn was to create a single player world. So I went to the "Create a world" screen and put in the settings that i wanted and when it was loading, a command prompt box came up and was loading some things then the game said "Cannot connect the local server" I followed the instructions on this thread

stilll-won-t-work-local-server-can-t-be-accessed-t2118/

put still nothing. Please help

Did you follow any walkthrough or something?? ...loads of information out there on how to create a server from scratch.

You should provide a bit more info about your situation...

For me it's obvious that your problem is localize because 99% of people are connecting without any problems...

You should provide more information like :

Dedicated or not...
What DB management program is used...
Specs of the machine...
More precision on the error and when it occurs...
Screenshots!!!
... and not let your thread die to oblivion for 2 weeks...

I might not have the answer your are looking for but lots of good admins are lurking around the forums from time to time... give yourself a chance to get helped...

seems like you didnt do any googling yourself. They have a whole thread sticked for this issue so please tell me how i am the only one who has this issue?? Why dont you look around before making false statments. Even the link i posted in my update shows lots of people saying the issue was fixed. ALL THOSE PEOPLE HAD THE ISSUE.. so you're wrong.

Your link leads to a 6 months old thread... and said it has been solved...

If that didn't work for you... you might have a different problem... don't you think?? You seem more caught up in frustrations than being in solution mode... There could be a thousand reasons to get the "Cannot connect to server" message...

Help yourself and others will help you!
