Highlight footsteps

Post by SirWinston » 30 Aug 2015, 13:49

Footsteps of horses and animals should be highlighted in some way. Right now if you want to efficiently track an animal you have to either disable the grass and make the game look bad or modify the png file to change the color of the footsteps (but you lose all transparency in doing so, making the steps appear as ugly white squares ingame).
At night, it's almost impossible to see the tracks on the ground.

Maybe change the color to something more visible, or highlight the steps with a faint light so we can actually see where we're going.

Just my opinion as a new hunter.

This happens because you doing it wrong. You edited color of footsteps in editor which does not support alpha channel.

If you supply proper image(or use compatible editor), footsteps will be transparent and colored.

yea the red one worked well, hope the devs have a fix planned after release. Any area where users are having to do major changes to enjoy areas of the game should really get looked at (turning grass off or coloring footprint to track, having a 3rd party tool track your herbs etc...)
