I have this problem where my entire screen is filled with black pixels. Kind of like old televisions used to do when they didn't receive any signal.

I have the same problem, i play it on my laptop with Intel HD Graphics in CPU core Intel® Celeron® Processor 1017U
(2M Cache, 1.60 GHz)

Acer Aspire v5-531
Windows 7 x64

on Low graphical Settings
maybe that is the reason, tell me what your PC specs ?

Open the console (ctrl + ~), and then type

ComboPFX.isEnabled = 0;
