Developer's choice on how to improve performance.

Post by Bubba » 26 Nov 2015, 14:20

Greetings,

i've noticed since the last patch (that fixed pavement YAY!) that even though i have my render distances set to max and my textures set to max that my textures pop in and out everywhere, even when im 10 feet away from things.

I DID NOT have a framerate issue at all 50-60FPS on Ultra with no shadows.

I DID NOT need my textures reduced, or did i need lower settings forced on me.

my textures should NOT be switching back and forth to blobs at close distances.

Is your performance solution to reduce graphic quality for everyone, even those who have invested in their computers to exceed recommended specs?

i am not pleased that the developers have chosen to force high-end systems to render the game as if they were 6 years old instead of optimizing their code, or at least making the autoadjust feature work correctly.
