My nature lore is over 99%. I am equipped with a sickle. I hack away for hours and come up with nothing. My skill slowly increases but try as I might, I can't get a single herb. Is there a separate screen where the herbs go that I am missing? Do I need to look for and identify specific plants or do I just harvest anywhere and hope for the best? Are there specific areas? Any help would be appreciated.

turn off grass,
nature's lore, search for herbs
youl see the herbs appear arround you, stop your char its actions after 1 progress bar is finishd,
run to the herbs and gather them,

How do I turn off grass? By setting the graphics to low? I tried that but I am still not getting a single herb?

You need to use the "Search for Herbs" command which you can find under Natures Lore.

Make sure you only let the cycle run once and press Esc, the herbs should magically appear round you, if you go to 3rd person they are easier to notice when they pop up then back to 1st person to collect, some herbs are small and hard to see.

alt click to stack herbs is your friends... gather a LOT of herbs before you try to figure out your flux herbs. Once you figure the first two out use them to "test" the other big stacks of herbs. This will quickly help you figure out what your flux herbs are. ALso you can not find flux till 60 skill

Herbalism in this game is ridiculous ... A fully launched game and you have to turn down graphics to "shitty" to even be able to find herbe? These are the loose ends that really piss me off about this game , not to mention the 100 bugs I've come across since "release". God I hope the MMO isn't like This.

u dont have to, u could go hardcore and let the grass on, your choiche
(turning grass off is actuale cheating imo)
