Can't move objects fade/trees fade

As the tital states. I am unable to move the silders, even when i do a preset, it moves the the sliders up but they will reset back to .1 almost instantaneous. Any ideas? Thanks

You have auto-adjust quality selected above and so you cannot manually adjust detail quality.
