For those of you not aware of this fact, Life is Feudal is a game of politics. On its surface it looks like a neat little game about base building and slapping your neighbor in the face with a sledge hammer once in awhile, but that mind set only scratches the surface of this amazing game we’ve all taken to playing. Recently, a guild by the name of Forged [FD] has unknowingly and without intent taken center stage of the political world of Life is Feudal. These individuals have become victims of extortion and forced vassalization by a considerably larger guild going by the name of “The Kingdom of Masons [MAS]”. Masons have in the past been known as a group that could fill up a considerable portion of multiple LiF:YO servers with their population. [MAS] have decided that the best way for their guild to introduce themselves to the multitude of new players joining the Life is Feudal community is to demand that a small group to enter into an ongoing relationship where in this small group would be required to hand over their resources, or be faced with an extended grief war with Masons.
For those of you who have no knowledge of Masons’ actions in the past, they have become somewhat notorious for exploiting unintended game mechanics for the purpose of their own amusement. To subject a small group like Forged to this level of grief war from an experienced group who is aware of every dirty trick in the book is harmful for player retention in this game.
For as many of you who have no idea who Masons are, there are probably as many of you who have no idea who I am. I am a part of a group calling ourselves Blood Pact, and am writing on behalf of the kingdoms Brothers in Arms [BIA], La Orden [LO], Prosperity [Pros], Vanirs Krigsmen [VK], and Blood Vikings [BV]. In addition we include many other guilds among our ranks participating in wave 1 of the MMO: Cuervos de la Tormenta [CDT], DNO [DNO], Forge [Frg], Framed in Blood [FIB], Heidabyr [HB], Hispania [HISP], Ordo Teutonicus [OT], Schwarzschild-Clan [SSC], Sons Of Odin [SON], and XenoTavern [XT]. Other guilds within our federation without a significant presence in this wave of the MMO include, though may not be limited to: Grande Autismo/Granducato della Uallera, Cuervos Errantes, Everstorm, Battleborn, Winterfell, and Mascarade. Additionally, other guilds of significant size, but also smaller guilds, have made offers to back Blood Pact should a war with Masons come to fruition.
To those guilds who are members of the Russian federation (United Slavic Armies), ARKONA, Arkaim, Tartaria, Vikings: We urge you to consider the better good of this game and condemn your allies actions that will result in driving away players.
If Masons continue in their attempts to aggressively vassalise smaller groups less able to defend themselves then Blood Pact and our associates will stand up in defense of these groups and begin unrestricted war on Masons and those who chose to support them.
