I just built a trebuchet and when I went to use it the only option under the "demolition" tab was "fire". It would not let me fire. I know from watching vods that you need to "manage" the trebuchet and then place the stone ammo inside, however this option is not available. Now all of the information I've read tells me that you can use trebuchets without having trained up demolition (apparently the 90 requirement was a tooltop bug), and I did not see anywhere that this has been patched. Am I doing something wrong or do I actually need 90 demo. to use this properly. If so, how do I level demolition quickly? Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the reply. Now we have to figure out the best way to level this. I hope there a better way than beating a wall with a torch for hours on end.

unfortunately not you'll have to beat a wall for hours on end to level yourself to 90, unless your on a server with high skill progression.

You can still fire it and level this way. Find someone with skill on 90, pay him to load the ammo and fire to level the skill.

Yeah this is a good call. I was in a position where it was a fairly new server and I was the highest demo. skill on the server. Now that I can load the ammo, my allies can level up through firing. The first person to reach 90 demo on a new server from torch bashing is highly valuable. The only tip I can give besides the usual (having the best food etc.) is to hit a building within your own monument range outside of JH, the building will take no damage so you can just whack away. I have a mechanical keyboard so I just set a macro, went away from the pc for about 10min at a time and then came back to switch in a new torch. Fun fun fun.

That still sounds painful! Hopefully the other siege weapons will be in shortly to help alleviate this.
