Your favorite youtuber

Post by Bobik » 25 Jun 2014, 08:40

It is almost obvious that a good youtube video with some notorious person playing a game brings more players' attention then some articles in some blogs/online magazines. Feel free to read that article for instance: http://gamasutra.com/view/news/219122/I ... _press.php

RhinoCRUNCH had discovered us by his own intention and we're really thankful to him and that notably brought some new faces to our community. But in most cases indie developers need to approach to youtubers by themselves. And we are going to do that! :Yahoo!:

But we need your help in order to make a list of those youtubers that have a similar taste as we all do and who might be interested in LiF.

So please, share your knowledge about notable youtube personalities that have at least more then 100k subscribers and have the same gameplay mind as we do.

thank you for your help

I know that Angry Joe does like the Mount&Blade franchise, plus he is open to good MMOs. He was first hyped and then very disappointed by Elder Scrolls Online.

I think he would like LiF but I can't say if he's interested in such early stages.

A YouTuber that I feel could bring a lot of exposure to this game is PsiSyndicate, he primarily focuses in survival RPG games and I feel this would be right up his alley.

Gamersdissent is a youtuber who usually features indie games that are in development (alpha/beta) and is a entertaining guy. hes got ~124k subs and I enjoy watching him. Seems like his cup of tea.

Frankieonpcin1080p https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxbivv ... WrLQHGHQyw

He plays survival sandboxes like DayZ and Rust. You could certainly give him a shot.

This is an amazing idea, but ill recommend wait for a more complete version before inviting youtubers. Still....

There is UberHaxorNova channel, he uploads videos of Rust and a bunch of other games, mostly indie, and almost all videos goes from 200k to 400k views

I actually was introduced to this game through Rhinocruch as well and I am very happy that he did a video on this and made me aware of it.

I would recommend getting frankieonpcin1080p and jackfrags in when they do videos together they keep me watching for a long time.

Krebs likes indie games and he might be interested.

Sidestrafe plays mostly tank and fps but he changes it up sometimes and also plays dayz so he might also be interested

Avoid Totalbiscuit unless you have something solid to show or he will break your game. It happened before with other projects.

Haven't noticed anything "breaking" in that interview. Considering that it was "yet another sci-fi shooter" he was very polite and correct. Even when that developer guy were unable to answer that question about "kinda generic, game is not relevant anymore".

I'd say Markiplier (or some of his friends - listed below) might be interested:
https://www.youtube.com/user/markiplierGAME

Wade (LordMinion777)
https://www.youtube.com/user/LordMinion777

There is also PartiallyRoyal, covers some of the survival games in more of a "let's play" format:
https://www.youtube.com/user/PartiallyRoyal

As a side note, he just mentioned the other day he was looking for new games to play/cover

Might also look at EatMyDiction:
https://www.youtube.com/user/EatMyDiction1

Tends to play the faster PVP games (i.e COD, ModWar, etc...)

Finally, Zer0Doxy:
https://www.youtube.com/user/Zer0Doxy

She "only" has about 8k subs, but fun and entertaining to watch just for her commentary!

Quill18, Arumba are two youtubers I absolutly love, they play lots of strategy games, but they also like RPGs, MMOs.. and most of all inovative indie games like this one. Plus, they are nice people, so maybe you could contact them :)

I have a must interview with youtuber, He is a pioneer of sandbox mmo information. He is an Original, He might even be on this list already. He also, had a pretty large influence on Ultima Online and its history. Markeedragon is the name.

https://www.youtube.com/user/markeedragon

http://www.markeedragon.com/

https://www.facebook.com/markeedragon

http://www.twitch.tv/markeedragon

http://network.markeedragon.com/

http://www.markeedragon.net/

This guy is the real deal.

Id lie if I said I follow this guy religiously, but I do check in with him and watch his videos now and again, hes tied to my UO roots, and when I think UO I think Markeedragon. Anyone that was anyone in UO knew him. That's what we need for this game, oh... unless you played on the Japanese servers :D ( I did for 3 months, so amazing making friendships with people you cant talk to)...

I would recommend reaching out to theRadBrad. I've followed him for a while and he does a lot of great walk throughs. He has done quite a few videos on Day Z, which is where I first started watching him.

Check him out.

I like Angry Joe.

Team Epiphany is 2 brothers i think. They have done a few 7 Days to Die vids in the past. Seemed to work out. Not sure if this would fit their genre but 7Dtd is a crafting survival type game.

I think Team Epiphany is actually a group of people tending to be about 2-4 sometimes just jake, in the videos. If your right about Jake and Ryan being brothers, that is something new I had no clue about.

Also I may be able to get this info to some other youtuber's I've run across [already told the server manager of TycerX's server about this game, say maybe Tycer may look into doing a video but he does more of just Minecraft sadly.]

I myself am hoping to start getting into youtube once I get a decent recoding program that doesn't lag, and I hope to help bring a spotlight onto this game.

i like totalbiscuit but i think he might be too brutal, I think this might be more angry joe's kind of game.

but the best is probably pro jared, because he made this vid on heaven and hearth which is really good and fair

I think Total Biscuit would rip the game apart as it's not as polished as he's used to.
