[MOD][Client] EllianMod::ModLoader (Approved for YO, Usable on the MMO)

The initial download of all the mods take some time.
Depending of your bandwidth, you can have download problems.
If the mods are not working fine or your game is crashing with a white screen, use the ZIP package to download all the files manually.

In order to ease the management of my mods, I have developed a mod manager which:
  • retrieve all my mods automatically from a server
  • keep the mods up to date
  • loads all the mods
  • set the position of the mods windows after modification in GUI edit mode (F10)
  • update keyboard bindings of the mods

Once that you have selected a server and your character, all the mods are loading automatically.

When you will be in game, the button to access to the mod list is available on the ESC menu:

In the GUI, you can enable or disable a mod.
A mod which is disabled will not be launched.

You need to restart your game to see the changes.

Refer to my mod list post for more information on each mod.

Some news on the recent changes are available to inform the users about the current progress on new development or on fixes:

## Manual Installation
  • Place the file "materials.cs.dso" in a "mod" folder under the "art" folder of the game root directory.
    Be sure to select the correct "art" folder.
There is no need to modify any game files.

The ModLoader doesn't work. It seems that the loader create the modfolders but these folders are empty. Would be nice if you can fix this because there is no direct download for your mods.

Doesn't work.

I put the materials.cs.dso into the "mod" folder. All your mod folders are there too but these folders are empty. :(

It works now! Thank you.

I had to delete all folders and the two xml files. And now it works :D

Edit:
Sorry but there is a new problem. I got a black screen when i start LiF. And if i delete all files (include the materials.cs.dso) it download all files again.

Strange thing...

Since the version 0.7.6.0, the mod loader is not started automatically.

I am trying to find the best solution to make it works easily.

The temporary solution is to run:
exec("mod/materials.cs.dso")
in the console

Fix done.
If you had already installed the mod loader, you need to move your "mod" folder into the "art" folder and update manually the materials.cs.dso file.

The mods are installed in art/mod directory but user input is not making them work, how would I fix that?

Have you restarted your game twice to take into account the changes?
As my mods are on client side only, I am not restarted the game like basil mod pack is doing it.

It doesn't work. :no:

Download is not easy with this spam-website.
I can't download it on my PC cause there are always spam and commercial.

It just work with my tablet and then I have to send the file via email to my PC.

But the mods doesn't work either.

Orders won't appear in the list in the CraftOrderManager.

Adf.ly is a well known site for sharing links.
It is not full of add.
You have to open the page, DO NOTHING​ for at least 5 seconds and then click on the download link on the upper right.

Of course if you like the add in the middle of the page you can click on it as much as possible but it will not help you to get the mod.

Concerning the crash, it could happen for so many different reason.
As for standard issues in the game, I need your log to investigate.

What are the chances of getting the mods without the mod loader? I had problems with it crashing my LifYO process as well.

Crashed almost any time I tried to modify the UI layout, especially when trying to get rid of the mmo status map.

*Also, is the console tweaker configurable? I have a 34" monitor and would like to see the console, however the medium one takes over input and the small one doesn't display enough data. I'd like to make the out of focus window wider

Didn't realize my post was mean and I'm hardly alone in having a large monitor, some people use TV's.

You have two people in the last two posts inform you that the mod loader is crashing their Lif:YO process, just trying to let you know when it happened to me so maybe you can test further.

It's understandable to be defensive of your work, I appreciate the mods, thanks for all you've added so far

Just trying your EMP pack through the mod loader but it is just crashing Lif:YO every time it gets to the point of actually rendering the game screen.

This is the first time i have tried any of you're mods and this is the firs time i have added the loader mod to the LiF client.

EDIT: by the way, i get the EMP news displaying as the game is loading but it never manages to render the game screen completely. I have not managed to change any settings or edit the UI as i cant get to the game.

Have you tried to restart the game multiple times?
It seems that the problem is on the craftordermgr mod, you can disabled by editing your modclient.xml file.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Yes i did restart the game probably about 8 to 10 times as i read that several restarts may be required.

I have tried again with multiple restarts and it is still crashing and i have now edited the modclient.xml file so <enabled> is set to false in the Craft Order Manager section but it still crashes.

The cartographer and the cartonline are almost the same mods.
You can disable the cartographer.
It is the same for the inventory and the herbalist, you shall disable the herbalist.
The console is useful only if you are a modder or a GM.
Try to perform these changes manually and restart your game.
