a few other things I could think of tho it looks as if you have enough on your plate
1. limit a player's maximum character.
2. Increase players maximum capacity past the current 64.
3.allow grass to regrow eather auto or by a players actions like seeding the ground with grass seed.
4.be able to define a area that has no skill, aliment and item loss if you kill or die inside it configurable would be nice.

As most here I think I eagerly await some of your upcoming mods thanks for taking the time to code document and share them with us

I read that this will kick a player with no decent message was wondering if there was a more informative way

I use something for this but for some unknown reason it wont work it works on my test server but not my public one

ok cool it would be grate to set up a area on my server that players could just have some pvp fun like a area for tournaments that were just walk in walk out

You could add a trigger on to the character table after or before insert (whichever you prefer) and then update the alignment of the character created.

How about adding diffrent crowns for jewelry? :)
For RP servers this would be nice i guess. :)

This is hard to achieve, all armors are stored in a single model.

Just throwing up a quick note for those of you who rent servers and use these awesome mods from Custodian. After working with Pingperfect for the last week, they are now BasilMod compatible. They've installed Custodian's base64 exec file and enabled it on all LiF servers world wide this morning. :Yahoo!:

This cannot be done(i dont know how), shortest terraforming timeout is 1 second.

Some of them are finished, with auto-install feature. I release mods when they ready and tested.

Is there anyway these would all work as serverside only and not having clientside ones or even making the modpack one download first time someone without it trys to join the server?

Server-side only — no.
Auto download on first connect — yes, if player have basilmod::pack installed, otherwise — no.

Glad to see the modding community is working hard to add to this game and I have to admit that a lot of these mods, both finished and the ones in progress, are great additions and can't wait for the server I play on to test some of them out.

One suggestion I had for mods came when I was talking with one of my guild members earlier today. We play on a roleplay server and sometimes feel as if the game is missing some features that could add so much more to these types of servers. The topic we discussed between ourselves was... books. Perhaps not the most exciting thing, but some sort of written in game system could add a new layer to more roleplay oriented servers. Of course we have forums and so forth to post whatever it is we wish, but that doesn't mean in game written books/scrolls/documents wouldn't be interesting! I don't know how difficult it would be to add such a mod, or if it is even possible, but I would love to see something like it in game. Something as simple as an item that can be clicked on to be read or edited or advanced enough to enable different ink colors, fonts, and the ability to 'sign' the book so it cannot be edited by anyone else after it has been signed and finished.

As I said, I'm not sure if this is possible with the way the game works, but I still believe it to be a neat idea to at least be considered by someone that knows what they are doing.

It is hard, but it is possible. I'm working on single parts which can be used for creating custom skills, i.e. "a writing skill" for the game (wrapping functionality of messaging and bulletin boards).

Because I have a lot of ips of cheaters, gathered from differents other games. I want to be able to block them from connecting or at least, trigger them if they connect

im really irritated. I downloaded some files from your mods and uploaded it to the ftp-root Server. Restarted it, but nothing happen.

The mods dont work.

I think this would fall under user error. Be sure to read the server install directions carefully and follow them for each one you want. For one you never even mentioned editing the main.cs file on the server which is required for all the server side mods. And another it if you are having particular issues it might be best to post in the related forum post and not in the suggestions/ideas topic.

Define 'an interface'.
BasilMod::Pack provides functionality, which allows you to sync any content from server and client.

Hey Basil shoot me a PM. Looking to decompile cm_substances.cs.dso to edit the ability to flatten paved. Found a thread relating to it but the download is no longer available. Tried Untorque on the game files and end up with a empty value.
