What guild(s) do you plan on bringing to LiF to join the War

Post by CrypticKiller » 20 Feb 2014, 00:33

Just a random topic... Curious of what friends or guilds you plan to bring to LiF to join the ongoing epic battle. More guilds means more Alliances, which also means more Active Population!

Tell your friends, tell guilds/clans in other games. This is where the true test of skill and dominance will occur!

I'll continue promoting this game in Ultima Online, and Mount & Blade cRPG mod.

Umm.. what war? There will be just local battles =) But I suspect that many single-national communities will try to settle close to each other.

Because war occures between opposite factions.
LiF has no factors for the total war if that is what you mean.

Wasn't sure how the war mechanics worked, still am a little confused I guess. Not as Shadowbane-esque as I would have liked.

One guid/kingdom declares war to another guid/kingdomand they can fight each other with no karma penalties and this is the only way to attack capital with a possibility to destoy guildstone. But as there will be hundreds of guilds on a giant contitent I see no war but numerous clashes.

If groups ally up and get huge. I could see the map splitting into several large factions.

Once people start losing assets, alliances and mergers will most definitely occur.

Once big alliances occur, they will start quarreling and dispart in to smaller groups and this process is infinite. Nothing really changes.

I just assumed itd be a game of like one side gets big so everyone teams up against the big guy until there are a bunch of huge groups. I don't mean to say I know what's going to happen but I assume it will be a numbers game to an extent.

Perhaps, but I'll wager that mutual safety outweighs petty arguing.

The smaller/outer groups might ally witb neighbors and stay out of large scale pvp. But for the most part i think we will see large alliances.

Actually, it'll be an ongoing war.. A battle for supremacy and for land ownership. There will constantly be warfare in LiF. If you think otherwise - perhaps hello kitty online is for you.

I wouldn't bet my holding on that. Some will. Some will not.

This game has built in Kingdom system. There may be official battles required to completely conquer or destroy another clans claim (Which are instanced) but that doesn't stop a Kingdom from attacking, killing, burning and pillaging another clan at any time until any production stops and they get tired of dieing. Which is where numbers and wars of attrition come in.

This is kind of off topic lol. On the note of this thread, I don't think getting a guild involved is up to 1 person. If players want to play then they will come and play with there guild and not because they were told to.
