Hello, please can you help me? I have BasilMod installed in my server. When i want to join everything is ok, mods downloading etc. But I dont see BasilMod settings anywhere. What should i do?

config.cs and content.cs are configuration files for basilmod::pack. Head post contains configuration details under the spoiler.

Hi, I tried installing the client-side version of the mod so I can play on a server, and I can boot up the game and begin joining the server, but I get an error message about base64decoder.exe not being found, so I was wondering how to resolve this? I have tried moving the base64decoder.exe from the .zip file to where the error message says it is required, except the .exe file needs a password in order to unpack it. The other files in the .zip are fine, and do not need passwords.

Also, I can click ok and go past the error message, but the server loading gets stuck on "Downloading Content Updates [1/4] 100%"

*EDIT* I have fixed this problem by downloading the base64decoder.exe from the manual installation link, and moving that file into the specified path from the popup error message. If anyone else gets this problem, just do this and you should be good!

BasilMod::Pack updated to v10, LiF version "1.3.2.5".

Content is now synced before character list is loaded for the player.

We also have this download loop. Deactivate Raven and clearing the cache doesn't work. :(

Make sure you are using latest basilmod::pack version.

Client log contains information about the reason of download loop. Most common reasons are:
  • client does not have base64decoder installed
  • client cannot access required content file (files does not exist, or lack of file read access)
  • client cannot calculate CRC of the file
  • CRC calculated by client is different from one known by the server

Hi,
I downloaded the "BasilMod : Pack" and imported it into LIF root folder according to the manual from the first page of this thread but after the server restart there is displayed the BasilMode version 9 in the game. If I understand correctly the version available in the dropbox should be v10. Because of this inconsistency i am not able to login into the game because the game restart is requested again and again...

COuld you please give me advice or solution how to resolve this problem?

Latest client version available is v9. Latest server version is v10.
Client will be autoupdated to latest version supported by the server (files will be downloaded from the server).

If you stuck in download loop, read my previous post about most common pitfalls.

Is it fixed ? I tried today and client side is okey but I think server side has problems. Raven mod installed and not working.

hello,

i have a really funny problem.
mod is installed and works fine, but the button on the Startscreen for the favorite server seems strange.

so my main-pc has it and it works, i installed the same on my 2nd pc, but there it doesnt work. the mod is loaded correct, he download content from the server and the GMAnnounce works, but however, it dont show the button for the quick connect.

A note I think would be helpful for other players:

I just spent the last 2 hours in the download loop trying to figure out the cause. If you keep your pack.zip file in the same folder as your /pack/ folder on the server, the game will compare the compressed version of pack.cs.dso to the unpacked one and will always fail.

You MUST keep the zip files out of the server's BasilMod folder.

hello again,

since the Update yesterday, it doesnt work anymore, we always get the error "Can't startup: failed to load skills/abilities".

Reinstall doesnt help and after try it, we have to check our local gamefiles, otherwise lif wont work anymore.

Thats because skill/abilities settings has been changed.

No ETA for the mod update at this time.

Until then, you have to disable skill syncronization via basilmod::pack if you want to use other features.

I do not have a content.cs folder in my LiF:YO Dedicated Server directory. I have looked all over for it and it is simply not there. Is it perhaps a different name?

The config file in the Server directory is config_local so that is where I put what should be the config codes.

I can't get the server side to work, there is no quick join button, but the client is working and shows at the bottom right BasilMod::v9 and yo::1.2.3.6.0

I followed all the instructions for the client and server, but the only problem is the content.cs which is not present in my directory. I don't know how to fix that.

Yes, I have the 64encoder.exe in the server directory. I would love the join server button but it simply does not show up at all for me.

Am I missing something?

Now its all done, and the button appears. but it says not inplemented is that correct or wrong aswell?


I can't even get a button on mine...lol.

He says "configure in content.cs".....I have no content.cs

I do have BasilMod on the client side, but the server side is shady for me.

at this point if Custodian is no longer active in the community, it might think to "donate" the source codes of BasilMod.

RetroLogi, i think he just left the game, forever. No chance for open source, if there was some, there was no problem to share it previuosly, any time from the beginning. Solo started - solo left, beated every other programmers by popularity and left unbeateble, with record of usefull things that drown by new patches. The legend must be seen like this 8-)

Or did you drop the project now?
