I think that's the one million dollar question at this point. They claimed to invite 100+ people. I better see a huge influx of players on the MMO server

It's fixed after restart.
Anyway - many are not joining because it's just 2-3 days and the speed is really slow - something like LiF:YO's x1 (I would even say a bit slower) and it's x10 of the normal MMO speed.

i feel like we where lied an people who "added funds" where picked over long time vets or owners on release. because 40-50 people is a small "open beta"

It's been stated that this isn't even considered a wave, so it isn't even wave 1. The people that get in get no advantage over you for not getting in, there is going to be server wipes and resource shuffles. They let more than 40-50 in its that is all that are on at that time. If you look at Beta Testers it grew by 325 or so. So if this isn't a wave at that number you can tell that when they let more in a lot more will be here.
They have to do so much with opening beta up to see how servers react to people even if it is only 10 people in a node they can get an idea of whats going on. Just be patient, if you already are a YO owner you can continue to enjoy the game just on a different map and same people(as its only been seen to be under 64 ppl on at once so far).

That said, they aren't going to get much bug testing, and especially no stress testing, with this few players.

Why so few invited? I had 15 clanmates sign up with verified accounts, and not a single one got invited.
