There was post about this and the devs stated it's not possbile atm due to some problem with how they load and unload the gameworld into the client. I hope they either reverse this desicision or get the game in proper order, because exit to menu is 100% required.

I have a suggesten for u guys that i tried and it works. If u guys are ingame and wants to go into an alt or whatever u wanne do when u are on a server already is to simple use the command

JoinToRemoteServer("SERVER IP HERE","")


Use that in the consol tab and u will be reconnected to the server and u will be able to switch character / make new ones. I hope this helped u
