Why do you care?

For sure there will be less of them since most of population will move to mmo BUT there will be still tons of people left playing on private servers. There will be less of them but for sure will be available.

I will play the MMO but my main interest is building a community and running a dedicated server.

I guess they will continue to exist as it's another game. However, I do think there will be much less of them eventually.
